U.S. track and field athlete Ryan Krauser set a world record in the shot put indoors, reports the International Association of Athletics Federations (World Athletics).

The 28-year-old shot 22.82 m in the event, setting a world record. Thus, Krauser improved by 16 cm the previous achievement of his compatriot Randy Barnes, set in 1989.
Ryan Krauser is the 2016 Olympic champion in Rio de Janeiro and the silver medalist at the 2019 World Championships in Doha.
