Greek Macedonikos player Nikos Tsoumanis was found dead in his car. This was reported by SDNA on Tuesday, October 5.
The car with the body of the 31-year-old defender was found on the pier. Tsoumanis was reported missing on Monday. According to the medical examiner’s report, death was caused by strangulation.
According to the source, the footballer had previously told his friend about financial problems and a desire to commit suicide.
Greek Macedonikosa was the last club in which the defender played. He moved there last summer. Tsoumanis also played at home for Aris, Xanthi, Pantrakikos, Kerkyra, Veria and Apollo.
