A man died as a result of shooting in the Palace of Justice in France

The shooting incident took place on the morning of Friday, 12 June, in the Palais de Justice of the French city of Nimes. It was reported by the Midi Libre portal.

Police and emergency services are working at the site. The streets adjoining the building are cordoned off.

According to preliminary information, an armed man entered the building, after which he was found dead. The reasons and circumstances of what happened are being established.

In March, in north-eastern Paris, an attack occurred in the courtyard of the Addawa Mosque, with at least one person injured. In December 2019, three people were injured in the French town of Besançon after being shot in the street.
