Law enforcement officers detained a man with a grenade in the government quarter of Kiev. This was reported on Tuesday, September 1, by the press service of the National Police of Ukraine.
The detention took place in the government quarter, in immediate proximity to the building of the president’s office. The man was stopped on Bankova Street, where the head of state’s office is located.
No other details are given yet.
In the fall of 2019, a grenade exploded in downtown Kyiv, killing two people. The incident took place near a cafe building; the men were looking at the ammunition that exploded.
One of the dead was Viktor Degtyarev, a fighter with the Donbass battalion and a participant in the battles for Ilovaisk (call sign Sensei).
