A second temporary mortuary for storing the bodies of the dead from COVID-19 will begin in Madrid. This was announced by Spanish authorities on Monday, March 30, at a press conference after the Coronavirus Committee meeting.
Last week, due to lack of resources at the funeral parlors began to use as a temporary morgue ice rink in the Ice Palace, the agency Europa Press.
The second temporary mortuary will be a building intended for the Institute of Forensic Science, built in the City of Justice, but not used. The building is located in the Valdebebas district in the north of the capital.
The capacity of the cells located in the building is 230 bodies.
