A train with schoolchildren derailed and fell into a river in Austria

In Austria an electric train carrying schoolchildren derailed and fell into a river. According to the preliminary data, at least 15 people were injured. About this on Friday, July 9, reported Wiener Zeitung.

According to the newspaper, the train went off the rails at about 7:00 am. The accident happened near the border with federal state of Styria. The train fell into the river Moor which was near the tracks. The newspaper reported that 50 people were injured, including 45 children. However, emergency services clarified that 15 people were lightly injured.

According to a Salzburg Red Cross spokesman, two people were taken to a hospital in Tamsweg and two were taken to the Murtal Regional Hospital in the Stolzalpe district. Firefighters, police and rescue workers are working at the scene.

On June 7, it was reported that a two-train collision occurred between the Pakistani town of Reti and the Daharki railway station. As a result of the accident 62 people were killed, more than 100 were seriously injured.
