A visitor to Disneyland Park was detained in Paris for falsely reporting a terrorist attack

French police detained a visitor to the Disneyland amusement park in Paris for falsely reporting an impending terrorist attack. This was reported by the newspaper Le Parisien on Tuesday, October 27.

The incident took place near the attraction “The Magic Way of Aladdin”. According to the newspaper, an 18-year-old young man was detained after he informed one of the park employees into the microphone that a terrorist was there. His announcement caused some panic among visitors.

The hooligan was tracked down and detained using CCTV cameras in the park. After apprehending the intruder, the calm was handed over to the police for investigation. The young man was a resident of one of the neighboring cities. He had already confessed to the crime and on Wednesday, October 28, will be brought before the correctional court of Mo. He may face up to two years in prison.

According to representatives of city public prosecutor’s office, an act of a citizen is serious because it could lead to strong panic: on October 16 in France a terrorist attack took place during which a radical Islamist killed a school teacher.
