About 50% of Britons are in favor of stripping Prince Harry and Meghan Markle of their titles

Half of the British residents said that Prince Harry and his wife Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle should be stripped of all titles, more than 50% of citizens are tired of the news about the couple. It is reported on Monday, May 24, edition Newsweek with reference to the survey data of consulting firm Redfield & Wilton Strategies.

It is specified that 31% of respondents do not believe that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle should be stripped of their titles. At the same time, 54% do not want to receive information about the couple and their lives (most of them older than 65 years), learn news on the subject only 18% of survey participants.

The survey also revealed the attitude of Britons to the disclosure of information about the royal family. 39% disapproved of Prince Harry’s decision to reveal details about his childhood and upbringing and relatives in an interview, while 36% found his statements interesting.

On May 22, Prince Harry, in a television interview with the program “Me You Don’t See,” told reporter Oprah Winfrah about his drinking problems stemming from his desire to numb the pain after losing his mother, Princess Diana. According to him, the family did not want to talk about Diana’s death, and he had to “suffer in silence.”

On May 17, Buckingham Palace announced that Prince Harry and his wife should refuse to use the titles Duke and Duchess of Sussex if Prince Charles’ son is so disappointed with his royal family.
