Italian actor Gino Renni, known to television viewers for his role as gardener Ramon in the popular Argentine series “Wild Angel” in the early 2000s, died from the effects of COVID-19. This was reported on Monday, August 2, by TN television.
The news of the 78-year-old artist’s passing was confirmed by producer Gustavo Yankelevich.
“Have a good trip, dear, true friend, companion of a thousand wonderful moments. I love you very much, I will miss you,” he wrote on his Twitter on August 1.
According to the TV channel, the artist went to the hospital due to complications from COVID-19 back on June 6. A few days before that, he had been vaccinated with the second component of the vaccine. After hospitalization he was admitted to the intensive care ward. Rennie passed away on August 1.
The actor was born in 1943 in Calabria, Italy. When he was three Rennie and his parents moved to Buenos Aires, where he later became an actor.
Renny had a successful career in national television and also acted in films.
