American actress Maggie Gyllenhaal’s clothes and electronics worth more than $16,000 were stolen in Brooklyn, New York Daily News reported on Thursday, August 13, citing local police sources.
Gyllenhaal and her husband, actor Peter Sarsgaard, were on the move, and on Tuesday, upon returning from Vermont, the 42-year-old actress discovered her Tesla car had been opened. Investigators believe that the couple could have left the car door unlocked and someone broke in and stole personal belongings of the star of the HBO series “Double”.
Law enforcers found out that the thief stole an Apple MacBook Pro laptop, a suitcase and the actress’s clothes left in the car. Her husband reported the theft to the police.
Gyllenhaal became famous in 2001 for her starring role in the movie “Secretary”.
