Almost 6 thousand people were fined in France for violating curfew

Almost 6 thousand French people were fined for violating the quarantine. The sanctions were applied on the first day of the extended curfew. Violators were handed a fine receipt for €135.

The country’s authorities reduced the permitted stay on the street for another four hours. The French are now forbidden to leave home from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. without urgent reasons.

According to the latest figures from the Ministry of Health, since the start of the pandemic in France from complications caused by coronavirus, have died more than 70 thousand people. The total number of cases of infection in the country exceeded 2.8 million. The population of France is about 69 million people.
