Almost 70% of Americans declared they wanted to vote in presidential elections by mail

At least 67% of Americans are in favor of voting in the November presidential elections by mail because of the coronavirus. This can be seen in a survey conducted by The Wall Street Journal and NBC on Tuesday, April 21.

In particular, about 58% of respondents support the final amendment of the electoral law and the opportunity to vote by mail.

However, 39% of respondents are against this decision, but a quarter of them admit that it is still worth temporarily allowing voting by mail because of the coronavirus.

Representatives of the Democratic Party of the USA support the idea of such an electoral format. While U.S. President Donald Trump does not agree with this position, as he believes that such a method of voting could lead to cheating.

Elections to the post of the US president will be held on November 3, 2020. At the moment Democratic Party candidate Joe Biden, after leaving the race of Senator Bernie Sanders on April 8, remains Trump’s only rival in this campaign.
