Amazon intends to buy MGM Studios in the near future

Amazon may acquire MGM Studios for nearly $9 billion, a deal to be announced shortly.

Amazon is interested in buying a lot of TV and movie content. The company needs to fill its Prime Video streaming service as it competes with Netflix and Disney.

MGM Studios produces a large number of movies and TV series. The film company is co-owner of the James Bond franchise. Also MGM Studios owns the rights to the TV series “Fargo,” “The Handmaid’s Tale,” the “Pink Panther” and “Rocky. The owners of the film company have been looking for a buyer for several years.
