American actor Michael Constantine, known for his role as the head of the family in the romantic comedy “My Big Fat Greek Wedding,” died at 95. It was reported by CNN on Thursday, September 9.
According to the artist’s agent, Konstantin died on August 31 after a long illness.
Michael Constantine (real name Constantine Ioannidis) was born in Reading, Pennsylvania, to a family of Greek immigrants, according to aif.ru.
In addition to his role as the father of the main character in “My Big Fat Greek Wedding” the artist has also participated in television projects. For his work in the series “Room 222,” he received an Emmy Award for Best Supporting Actor, according to the website kp.ru. For the same role, as well as for playing in the TV series “Orphan’s Court,” he was nominated for a Golden Globe.
