Architectural monument may be destroyed in Sudan because of flooding. Under threat are the ancient ruins in Al Bajravi. The complex of buildings was erected 2 thousand years ago. Archaeological site is included in the UNESCO heritage list.

Now this area is flooded with Nile waters. The river came out of the coast after long rains. The ancient city was surrounded by barriers – sandbags. Local authorities note that previously the ruins of the river were not threatened by flooding.
