Thousands of women in Buenos Aires came out to protest the violence. Activists demanded that the authorities stop femicide. The reason for the protest was the recent death of a girl.

Ursula Bahillo was killed by her partner – she had previously accused him of beating her, but the police did not respond to the complaints. A total of about 50 women have been killed in Argentina since the beginning of the year. Demonstrations against violence have been taking place in the country since 2015.
