U.S. athletes will be taking home doping tests by video link due to the spread of coronavirus in the country. This was reported in the newspaper USA Today on Wednesday, April 15.
According to the newspaper, this measure was introduced for eight weeks due to the quarantine imposed in the country. It is stressed that all athletes will be sent the necessary equipment for the test.
The newspaper added that at any time they can be called from the American Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) in order to watch in real time on video how an athlete is taking blood samples. The athletes will then be required to seal the samples and send them to a laboratory accredited by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA).
