BBC starts to work on film about Skripal poisoning

Filming of a feature film about the case of poisoning of ex-GRU employee Sergei Skripal and his daughter Julia in the British Salisbury fix in the public consciousness without evidence version put forward by the British authorities. This was reported at the Russian Embassy in London.

“It is difficult to comment on the film, which has not yet been released,” the Russian diplomatic mission said. However, the embassy said that shooting such a picture will not help to find out the truth, noting that the film is not able to replace a full investigation.



According to The Guardian, the film will consist of three parts, it will tell how the residents of Salisbury reacted to the incident.

In March 2018, ex-GRU employee Sergei Skripal and his daughter Julia were found unconscious in the British city of Salisbury. According to the British authorities, they were poisoned with the nerve agent “novichok”. According to London, Moscow may be involved in the incident, the Russian authorities deny all the accusations.
