Mass protests are taking place in the Lebanese capital on Saturday, demanding the resignation of the current authorities because of the explosion at the port, which occurred on August 4. A video of the protests was shot by Mohammed Qleit.

Protesters chant: “People want the fall of the regime”, “Revolution. Revolution”, and hold posters that read “Go away, you are all murderers”. Demonstrators have occupied the Lebanese Foreign Ministry building.

Over 170 people were injured in the protests. According to the latest figures from the Lebanese branch of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, 55 injured persons were taken to hospitals and 117 were treated on site.
