The site of the Belarusian Interior Ministry was under attack. This was reported on Friday, September 4, by the official representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Olga Chemodanova.

“The official site of the Ministry of Internal Affairs does not work due to technical reasons. We do not rule out a hacker attack. There was also an attempt to introduce malicious programs that block or modify the work of a number of information resources of the Interior Ministry,” she wrote in her Telegram-channel.

According to Chemodanova, the ministry’s specialists are engaged in troubleshooting.

She asked citizens to understand the situation when the administrative procedures they apply to the Ministry of Internal Affairs may not be completed in time.

The Ministry’s specialists are currently troubleshooting the problems identified, the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs said.

According to Nasha Niva and the Belsat TV channel, unknown persons have published search notices for President Alexander Lukashenko and Interior Minister Yuri Karayev, who, judging by the published screenshots on the site, are “accused of war crimes against the Belarusian people.

The Interior Ministry then decided to temporarily shut down the site’s external work in order to “preserve all the materials posted on it.

This fact is verified under the criminal procedure legislation under Part 1 of Article 349 (“Unauthorized access to computer information”), which provides for a penalty of a fine or arrest for up to 3 months.
