Democratic Party candidate Joe Biden, who, according to media forecasts, is gaining the necessary number of votes to win the presidential election, announced himself elected president on Saturday, November 7.
“America, I am honored to have been elected to lead our great country. There’s hard work ahead, but I promise to be president for all Americans, whether you voted for me or not,” he wrote on his Twitter page.
Earlier that day, the U.S. media, including Fox News, Assosiated Press, CNN and NBC, reported that Biden had won the necessary votes to become the elected president of the United States.
President Trump, in turn, said the elections “are not over” and promised that his team will start to defend their positions in court to ensure full compliance with electoral laws and “the election of the real winner.
