Bill Gates predicted the end of pandemic

Microsoft founder, American billionaire Bill Gates said that the world will start returning to normal after the coronavirus pandemic by early summer.

In an interview with CNBC, the businessman noted that the revival of enterprises in China gives reason to think positively.

He suggested that during the summer and autumn, people would be fully engaged in manufacturing, construction and education.

According to Gates, schools and universities in the United States will also be able to resume operations in the fall.

However, he noted that the return of peace to its former state will not happen quickly.

“No one should think that the government can wave a wand and suddenly the economy will be the same as it was before everything happened,” said the founder of Microsoft.

Gates also added that his foundation was working on a vaccine that could be created in less than 18 months:

“It will either be a therapeutic drug with an efficiency of more than 95%, or it will be a widely distributed drug,” explained the billionaire.

In late January, it was reported that the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation announced the allocation of $10 million to quickly fight the spread of a new type of coronavirus.

By April 10, there are 490,925 cases of infection with the new type of coronavirus in the U.S., with 18,239 deaths and 26,777 patients discharged from hospitals.
