Brad Pitt accuses Angelina Jolie of deliberately “delaying the child custody battle”

Brad Pitt, 57, is accusing Angelina Jolie, 46, of “deliberately delaying” their legal battle over custody of their mutual children – Maddox, 19, Pax, 17, Zahara, 16, Shiloh, 15, and twins Vivien and Knox, 12. Brad was granted joint custody two months ago, according to a tentative decision. However, Angelina strongly disagrees with this outcome. She requested sole custody back in 2016.

Brad’s accusation was made by his lawyer Theodore Boutrous during a regular court hearing last Friday. Previously, Angelina’s attorney, Robert Olson, had lobbied for the removal of private judge John W. Oderkirk from the case on the grounds that the judge was not impartial (specifically, Jolie filed documents that Judge Oderkirk did not find, stating that he had a professional relationship with one of Brad’s lawyers in August 2020). In previous court filings, Jolie claimed that the judge denied her “a fair trial by improperly excluding her evidence relevant to the health, safety, and welfare of her children, as well as evidence critical to her argument.”

Brad Pitt’s lawyer is sure that the actress is simply stalling for time to wait until her children come of age. At that point, she won’t have to share custody. Insiders report that Pitt is extremely upset by such behavior of his ex-spouse.

Brad and Angelina were legally married in 2014 and separated in 2016. The couple met while working on the action movie “Mr. and Mrs. Smith.” Their romance came on the back of Brad’s breakup with his ex-wife, Jennifer Aniston. Angelina was previously married to Johnny Lee Miller(1996-1999) and Billy Bob Thornton (2000 – 2003).
