British servicemen lost a Russian submarine in the English Channel. This was reported by Forbes on Sunday, July 19.

We are talking about the submarine “Krasnodar” class “Warsawianka”, which is heading towards St. Petersburg. It entered the English Channel, and after that the military did not inform about the location of the ship.

According to the author of the article, the last coordinates of the submarine are the westernmost point of mainland England – Lands End.

The last time “Krasnodar” crossed the strait three years ago, accompanied by the British Royal Navy, writes “Gazeta.ru”.

In late June, the commander of the U.S. Navy in Europe and Africa, James Foggo, warned of the dangers of Russian submarines. He said that the Russian Federation is turning the Eastern Mediterranean into one of the most militarized zones in the world due to the presence of its submarines in this area.

In April, the American magazine The National Interest evaluated the quiet and almost elusive Russian submarine Severodvinsk of the Yasen class. Journalists recalled that several years ago the U.S. Navy lost a Russian submarine of this type in the Atlantic Ocean.
