China may impose sanctions on Apple and Cisco and suspend purchases from Boeing Corporation

China may impose sanctions on US companies, including Cisco, Apple and Qualcomm, in response to a planned U.S. blockage of supplies to Chinese technology giant Huawei from global chip manufacturers. This was reported by the Global Times, citing a source close to the Chinese government.

According to the source, China will respond not symbolically, but quite realistically and painfully for the U.S.

The Chinese authorities may launch an investigation against the U.S. corporations and put them on the list of “unreliable organizations”. In addition, China may suspend purchases from the Boeing Corporation.
