Brooke Baldwin, the anchor of CNN news channel, said the coronavirus test was positive. It was reported on Friday, April 3, on her Instagram page.
“I’m fine. It happened suddenly yesterday afternoon. Chills, pains and fever,” Baldwin wrote.
She said she was self-insulated and was taking all the proper precautions. Baldwin, however, expressed her gratitude to the doctors treating her, noting she would be back on television “very soon.
This case was the second one in the last week on CNN. On Tuesday, March 31, the coronavirus infection was detected in host Chris Cuomo and the brother of New York State Governor Andrew Cuomo. He said that despite the disease, he would continue to lead the authorship program from his Long Island home, isolating himself from his family in the basement.
“In recent days, I’ve come across people who have subsequently had positive results. I have a small fever, chills and shortness of breath,” Cuomo said on his Twitter page.
The day before, New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio spoke about alternative ways of personal protection against coronavirus in the absence of medical masks.
