Colorado forest fire spread to the U.S. military base

A forest fire in Colorado spread to the U.S. Army Fort Carson base. This is reported by The Denver Post.

The fire has been raging since October 11. To date, burned out about 240 hectares of land, the fire spread to the training and combat zone.

Buildings on the territory of the base were not affected. No information about the victims was received.

More than 100 firefighters took part in liquidation of fire. They use UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters for extinguishing. Reasons of fire have not been determined yet. Fire is localized by 10%.

On October 3 it was reported that forest fires destroyed 1.6 million hectares of land in California.
