The International Comic-Con Festival, held every summer in San Diego, was canceled in 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic. This was reported by the organizers of the event.
“For the first time in the 50-year history of San Diego Comic Convention, we deeply regret to announce that the annual celebration of pop culture Comic-Con in 2020 will not take place,” – said in a statement.
According to the organizers, the situation requires emergency measures, and there is no chance to believe that the festival this summer will meet the safety conditions due to the spread of infection.
In addition, participants who buy tickets to the event will be able to return their money or get a pass to the festival next year.
It is specified that next time comic book fans will gather in the conference hall of San Diego July 22-25, 2021.
On April 16, it became known that the Rock am Ring 2020 and Rock im Park rock festivals were canceled in Germany due to the ban on holding public events, which was introduced in the country until August 31 against the backdrop of the coronavirus pandemic.
