Several family businesses that own street stalls selling traditional Thai sweets have started selling “coronavirus cake” in Bangkok, according to TNN24, a Thai television channel.

The cake is two soft hemispherical baskets made of rice flour with baked coconut milk in them – they are made from black and red rice flour, and the “crown” – from fried pumpkin, potato and tapioca straw, giving the cake the appearance of the world-famous model of coronavirus.

Long queues have lined up to the pastry trays with “coronavirus cakes,” reports the agency.
