Coronavirus tests in Florida are carried by drones

Unmanned shuttles help medical personnel of a large private clinic Mayo Clinic, located in the American state of Florida. The drones are transporting samples to the lab for the coronavirus test, Endgadget reports. Self-propelled machines free time for nurses and medics to take care of the sick instead of carrying containers of samples, according to the medical center management. They also minimize contact with the virus.

Four drones are driving along the route. For safety reasons, they are accompanied by a man-controlled crossover. This is necessary to “ensure that other cars or pedestrians do not have a potential impact on the delivery path of samples and materials for tests on COVID-19,” experts say.
