Dominican Air Force helicopter crashed on the border with Haiti

A Dominican Air Force helicopter crashed on the border with Haiti.

According to the local newspaper Dia, the helicopter was on its way to patrol the airspace bordering Haiti.

The incident happened in the southern part of the republic, near the town of Jimaní.

Earlier it was reported that the Defense Ministry of the Dominican Republic in connection with the assassination of Haitian President Jovenel Moise is conducting a military operation in the border areas.

According to the newspaper, a military helicopter crashed while landing in the border town of Jimaní. There is no information about the deaths or injuries so far.
