“Downton Abbey” and “The Crown” actor Ronald Pickup died

British theater and movie actor Ronald Pickup died at age 80. It was reported on Thursday, February 25, the BBC.com.

The actor passed away Feb. 24 surrounded by his family after a long illness, Pickup’s agent said.

“Passed away peacefully yesterday (Feb. 24. – Ed.) after a long illness surrounded by his wife and family. We will miss him,” the actor’s agent said.

Pickup worked in film, theater and television. He is known for his roles in films and TV series: “The Crown”, “Marigold Hotel”, “Downton Abbey”, “Doctor Who” and many others.
