Drunk men near Vinnytsia, Ukraine, fired a train for video in Instagram

In the city of Pogrebishche in Vinnitsa region of Ukraine, two locals blocked the railway crossing and fired on the train to put the video of the incident in the social network Instagram. This was reported by the regional police on their Facebook page on September 11.

The incident took place on 9 September. When the car stopped at the crossing, one of the men ran along the railway track, while the other fired a pistol at the train driver’s cabin and filmed what was happening on his phone’s video camera. Then the video was put into Instagram.

When the driver asked the intruders to stop these actions, they did not stop.

As a result, the police went to the scene of the incident and detained the men aged 25 to 28. Both were in a state of intoxication. The youngest of the perpetrators had previously been prosecuted for theft.

A criminal case was initiated under Part 4 of Article 296 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (“Hooliganism”) and Article 279 (“Blocking of transport communications”). Detained persons could face imprisonment for three to seven years.
