Duda wins Polish presidential election

Acting President of Poland Andrzej Duda wins the second round of presidential elections after processing 99.97% of ballots. This was announced by the head of the State Election Commission, Sylvester Marchiniak, on July 13.

“We haven’t received 9 protocols yet. The data of protocols of 27 222 constituencies, which makes 99.97%, show that 51.21% of voters voted for Andrzej Dudu and 48.79% – for Rafal Tshaskovski”.

The day before it was reported that the the exit-poll showed victory of Duda in the presidential elections with a margin of 0.8%.

The second round of presidential elections in Poland was held on July 12. The first round was held on June 28. None of the candidates managed to get more than 50% of the vote.
