American entrepreneur, founder of Tesla and SpaceX Elon Musk said that he intends to create a cryptocurrency Marcoin. He announced this on Wednesday, February 17, on his Twitter page.
Musk, on February 14, promised to support Dogecoin cryptocurrency owners in selling much of their savings to avoid a concentration of funds. Web users responded to the entrepreneur’s statement by suggesting that Musk create his own Iloncoin.
“Marcoin,” one subscriber suggested.
The billionaire noted that this is what he would call his cryptocurrency.
Earlier, on February 15, Elon Musk “dropped” the rate of this cryptocurrency after calling on Twitter for large Dogecoin owners to sell some of their coins. According to CoinMarketCap service, Dogecoin fell by 14%, to 5.6 cents.
At the beginning of February, this cryptocurrency went up by a record 780%. Another jump in price came after Ilon Musk posted the word Doge on Twitter in response to a picture of the Falcon 9 rocket launcher. The price of the cryptocurrency increased by 76% in the moment.
