Emir of Kuwait died during treatment in the U.S.

Emir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah died during treatment in the United States. This was announced by the Minister for Chancellery Affairs of the Emir Ali al-Jarah al-Sabah (Sabah IV) on Tuesday, September 29, in the air of the guest television.

“The Emir of Kuwait, His Majesty Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, has moved on to Allah,” he said.

In July, the 91-year-old emir was hospitalized and had surgery. Details were not reported, some reports said it was about removing two tumors. In 2019, the ruler had to reschedule a visit to the White House due to urgent hospitalization. U.S. President Donald Trump, learning about this, wished the emir a recovery.

Sabah IV was born in 1929. He became Emir in 2006, and before that he had been the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the country. From December 2016 he had the title of the oldest monarch in the world among men. He was 91 years old.
