At the online meeting of the committee on foreign policy of the Danish parliament on Thursday, October 8, for 40 minutes an unknown person pretended to be an ex-presidential candidate of Belarus Svetlana Tikhanovskaya. This is stated on the site of legislative body of the kingdom.
At the beginning of the session a person who introduced himself as Svetlana Tikhanovskaya stated that he could not connect a web-camera due to technical reasons. The current social and political situation in Belarus was discussed.
For 40 minutes, the imaginary Tikhanovskaya never turned on the camera, which aroused suspicions, and the participants in the discussion announced its completion.
Parliamentarians claim in their report that nothing was said during the session that could harm the foreign policy course chosen by Denmark.
However, now the on-camera will be a mandatory requirement for online negotiations with any invited participants.
