Ferrari plant in Maranello produces valves and mounts for ventilators. Ready-made devices will be delivered to Italian hospitals with coronavirus infected.

Italian sports car manufacturer Ferrari has joined the fight against coronavirus SARS-CoV-2. The Maranello plant has begun production of valves and mounts for ventilators, writes the publication La Gazzetta dello Sport on Saturday, April 18. The products will be sent to the emergency prevention department, which will distribute them to hospitals with patients with the new virus.

Coronavirus entered Italy in late January. Its authorities were among the first in Europe to start restricting freedom of movement to slow the spread of the disease.
