Five children died when a missile hit a home in Afghanistan

A missile hit an apartment building in Nangarhar province in eastern Afghanistan, killing six people. ToloNews reported September 6, citing a statement from the office of the regional governor.

The incident occurred in the Sherzad district. A woman and five children were killed. Four more people were injured, including two women and a child.

None of the groups operating in the country claimed responsibility for the shelling.

At least 13 people were killed in two bombings in late August in Kandahar Province, Afghanistan.
