Five people died after a missile strike near the airport in Baghdad

As a result of rocket attacks on the area of Baghdad airport, five people were killed and four injured, Al Arabiya TV channel reported on Monday, September 28.

“Five people were killed and four suffered as a result of a rocket attack on a building near Baghdad airport,” the publication said.

According to the channel’s correspondent, a Katyusha rocket hit a residential building near the airport.

Earlier Friday, an explosion was reported that struck a convoy of U.S. troops in a suburb of Baghdad.

The day before, the White House administration told Iraqi authorities it was ready to close the U.S. embassy in Iraq if missile attacks on the diplomatic mission continued.

Four rockets landed near the U.S. diplomatic mission in the green zone in downtown Baghdad August 29, with no casualties.
