Former president of FC “Marseille” Pape Diouf died of the coronavirus

Former president of French football club “Marseille” Pope Diouf died at the age of 68 years because of the coronavirus. This was reported by La Provence on March 31.

Diouf was hospitalized on March 30 in the capital of Senegal in serious condition. The next day, his health began to deteriorate sharply, doctors were unable to save him.

Senegalese Diouf moved to France at the age of 18 and wrote notes mainly about “Marseille” for one of the city newspapers. Subsequently, he retrained as a football agent, and in 2005-2009 headed the legendary club.
