Former Primal Scream vocalist Denise Johnson passed away at the age of 53. This is what The Sun writes about.
It’s reported that Johnson got sick a week ago. According to the family, the cause of death is still unknown, but the singer was found in the morning of July 27 with an inhaler in his hand.
Denise Johnson sang in Primal Scream from 1990 to 1995. Together with the band she recorded the album Screamadelica and some of the band’s most famous hits – Higher Than the Sun and Don’t Fight it, Feel It. She also recorded songs with New Order and Pet Shop Boys.
Her debut solo album Where Does It Go Johnson planned to release September 25th. The acoustic vinyl features original Smiths and New Order covers.
