Four military personnel were killed in an explosion in Afghanistan

At least four members of the Afghan army died in an explosion in the east of the country. Ten people were injured, according to reports on Thursday, 14 May.

The explosion occurred near a military facility in Gardez, central Paktya province, according to media sources citing local police.

On the eve, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov announced the need to hold a regular meeting of the SCO-Afghanistan contact group at the first opportunity. According to the Minister, Afghanistan’s transition to peaceful development is impossible without the participation of the regional states.

On Tuesday there were terrorist attacks in Afghanistan, with dozens of victims. After that, President Ashraf Ghani ordered the country’s security agencies to switch to the regime of offensive actions against the Taliban.
