FOUR US MARINES KILLED IN EXPLOSIONS. PENTAGON DID NOT TALK ABOUT DOZENS

Four US Marines were killed in Kabul explosions. The Pentagon would not talk about dozens of casualties, limiting itself to listing its casualties.

Deaths of US military personnel were reported by a correspondent of The Wall Street Journal, citing the US ambassador. He said four Marines were killed and three others were wounded in two explosions near Kabul airport Thursday.

In total, according to the Ministry of Health of Afghanistan, as a result of the attack killed at least 40 people. These data were cited by a ministry spokesman.

To recall, the first explosion was carried out by a suicide bomber, and the second one was carried out remotely, using a booby-trapped car. At that time there were thousands of people trying to leave Afghanistan near the airport gates.

Responsibility for the bombings in Kabul was claimed by the terrorist group Islamic State, which once controlled parts of Iraq and Syria, but has since been driven out.
