France introduced compulsory vaccination for medical staff

French President Emmanuel Macron introduced compulsory vaccination for medical staff and a number of other professions. From September 15, inspections of compliance with the measure will begin. In addition, France is introducing a sanitary emergency regime in Martinique and Reunion.

A curfew will be in force on the islands. Since August, a mandatory sanitary pass will be introduced in France. Bars, restaurants and shopping malls will be open only to people who have been vaccinated or have tested negative for PCR. The measure will also apply when boarding a train or a plane. France is tightening border controls. Unvaccinated tourists must undergo quarantine.
