General Director of Carlsberg Ukraine confirmed the fact of explosion at the plant in Kiev

Yevhen Shevchenko, CEO of Carlsberg Ukraine, confirmed that there was an explosion at the company in Kiev on Sunday, September 20.

Earlier the press service of the National Police of Ukraine reported that there was an explosion at one of the enterprises in Kiev, specifying that several people were injured.

“The Internet started filling in the news about the explosion at our Kiev plant. It is true that the explosion took place around 4 p.m., when two employees of the contracting company were welding the technical hatches on the roof of the treatment plant”, – he wrote on Facebook.

As a result of the incident, one of the workers got abrasions and no hospitalization was required, Shevchenko noted.

According to the preliminary version, there was a gas cylinder explosion due to safety violations during welding works. According to Shevchenko, investigations are currently underway to find out all the circumstances of the incident.
