German Defense Minister: Threats from Russia Appear in Europe

Annegret Kramp-Karrenbauer, the chairwoman of the Christian Democratic Union and German Defense Minister, said threats emanating from Russia have emerged in Europe.

“Russia’s improved armaments and its military operations in the middle of Europe have created real threats,” she said, noting that the threats from Russia are “concrete and immediate.”

The minister stressed that her position is not anti-Russian, but is related to “political facts.” Especially in light of the fact that Russia has missiles that can reach Germany.
