Google announced a new handy Gmail widget and picture-in-picture mode in Meet on iOS

The official Google blog has information about three innovations that will appear in the services of the search giant for iOS in the near future.

For iOS will become available widget for the home screen, which is already available in Android. It allows you to view the latest messages and their sender. For comparison, the current version of the widget has a button to create a new message and a search line by mail, and also shows the number of unread emails.

Google Meet recently added the ability to minimize video to a small window so you can forward an email or view a document without taking your eyes off the meeting. A similar feature will appear in Google Meet for Gmail in a few weeks.

On iOS and iPadOS, there will be support for keyboard shortcuts when you connect a Bluetooth keyboard or Magic Keyboard case. First of all, this feature, of course, is aimed at iPad users, but it will be available for the iPhone as well.
