Google announced in his blog that by the end of 2021 plans to include two-factor authentication for 150 million users.
Also Google will require the inclusion of such authentication for two million content creators on YouTube. Both innovations are timed to coincide with Cybersecurity Awareness Month.
The blog says that two-factor authentication significantly reduces the chances of attackers gaining access to user accounts. And today this way of logging in has become as simple and “seamless” as possible – all it takes to confirm your identity is to press a single button in a notification on your smartphone.
