At least 17 people were killed when a hotel collapsed on Monday in the city of Suzhou in China’s eastern Jiangsu province. This was reported Wednesday, July 14, by China Central Television.
“According to the latest data, rescuers managed to get 23 people out from under the rubble, of whom five people were hospitalized, 17 people died,” the channel said in a report.
It is noted that the search and rescue work is completed.
While the causes of the collapse of one of the buildings of the Four Seasons Kaiyuan Hotel in one of Suzhou districts are unknown.
At present a government group has already been created to investigate the incident.
